A short seminar on Well-being and Healthy Living was conducted for the teachers of our school to highlight the importance of physical health, proper nutrition, and self-care.
Dr. Fatima Agarwala, a physiotherapist, delivered a meaningful and informative talk on maintaining physical well-being. She explained how long hours of sitting, poor posture, and everyday stress can affect our bodies. Through practical demonstrations, she guided the teachers through simple exercises for the neck and ankles and shared effective techniques to relax the body and relieve muscle tension. She also emphasised the importance of maintaining correct posture, taking short breaks, and incorporating simple exercises into our daily routines. Her insightful session encouraged teachers to be more mindful of their physical health and make self-care a priority.
Ms. Sakina Patrawala, Registered Dietitian, shared valuable insights into healthy eating and good lifestyle habits. She emphasised the importance of adequate sleep, drinking enough water, and including fresh fruits and nuts in our daily diet to maintain energy and overall health. She highlighted how small, mindful changes in our eating habits can contribute significantly to our overall well-being.
The session was interactive, informative, and thoroughly enjoyed by all the teachers. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn simple and practical ways to lead a healthier and more balanced life.
