Republic Day 2026

 26th February 2026
On 26th January 2026, St. Anthony’s High School celebrated Republic Day with great fervor and patriotism. The day began with the school band setting a lively tone, followed by the pinning of favours to the chief guest, Mr. Zubair Shaikh and Mrs. Shaikh, along with Manager Sr. Elizabeth Mathai and Principal Sr. Suman Minezes. A guard of honour was presented by the guide students, and flower petals were showered on them as they marched to the flagpole to unfurl the National Flag, accompanied by the National Anthem sung by the school choir. A two-minute silence was observed to honour the freedom fighters who laid down their lives for our nation.
A meaningful prayer service was conducted highlighting the values enshrined in the Constitution, which was followed by a series of patriotic events including Hindi and Marathi songs, dances, and speeches. Students were felicitated for their achievements, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. An eye-opening skit on the Constitution engaged and educated everyone present. The school band also performed a patriotic medley, which set a vibrant and patriotic tone for the celebrations, filling everyone with pride and enthusiasm.
The chief guest, Mr. Zubair Shaikh, delivered an inspiring speech that filled the students with patriotic spirit. He also expressed pride in his daughter, Samira Shaikh, praising the school for shaping her into the confident leader she is today. Our Manager Sr. Elizabeth Mathai also addressed the gathering with a motivational message.
The day concluded on a lively and memorable note with the inauguration of the Work Experience Art Exhibition in Helen Hall, followed by P.T. Sir Sevin leading all the students in a mass drill to the school anthem, leaving everyone with a deep sense of pride and unity.
