St.
Anthony’s High School celebrated Christmas with great joy and enthusiasm on 22nd
and 23rd December, spreading the true spirit of love, sharing, and
togetherness.
On
22nd December, a special Christmas party was organized for the KG, 1st, and 2nd
standard students. The highlight of the day was a beautiful tableau of the
Nativity Scene, which helped the children understand the meaning of Christmas.
Various competitions were conducted such as Carol Singing (Group and Solo),
Dance (Group and Solo), and class-wise competitions including Star, Christmas
Tree, and Snowman making. The celebrations were colorful, lively, and truly
wonderful.
On
23rd December, the celebration continued for the remaining students of the
school. The winners of the competitions were announced, and only the prize
winners performed again along with the Nativity tableau to bring the Christmas
spirit alive on campus. On this day, the school also invited underprivileged
and poor people from the local community and distributed gift hampers
containing household essentials and food items, spreading joy and kindness.
Santa
Claus made a cheerful appearance and distributed sweets to the excited
children. This was followed by inspiring Christmas messages by our School
Manager, Sr. Elizabeth Mathi, and our Principal, Sr. Suman Minezes. The school
choir sang melodious Christmas carols and concluded with “We Wish You a
Happy New Year.”
On
the same day, for the first time, the school choir visited the local police
station and sang Christmas carols for the policemen and policewomen who serve
the community diligently. They were very happy and shared sweets with the
children. Our Principal also presented cake and sweets to the police staff.
Everyone exchanged Christmas and New Year wishes.
The
Christmas celebrations at St. Anthony’s High School were truly meaningful and
memorable, reminding everyone of the values of love, service, gratitude, and
joy.
