On the 26th of January 2025, St. Anthony's High School proudly celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event was graced by the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Mr. Thakur, the father of our proud Head Girl, Umaymah Thakur. The programme began with the ceremonial pinning of the favour, followed by a vibrant march to the rhythmic beat of the school band.
The backdrop on stage was a stunning visual representation of the Ashoka Chakra and the Preamble of the Indian Constitution, symbolizing the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity that form the foundation of our Republic.
This year’s celebration marked the completion of 75 years of India’s Republic status, and at St. Anthony's, every Republic Day is an occasion to reaffirm our loyalty to the nation, remembering the sacrifices made by countless unsung heroes who have shaped our country's history. It is a day to rededicate ourselves to building a stronger and better India, an India of our dreams, born from the hopes and aspirations of millions across cities, towns, villages, and every corner of the nation.
India’s vast cultural diversity was beautifully showcased in the event, as students paid tribute to the nation’s unique heritage. From the majestic mountains to the serene seas, the country’s beauty was captured through performances that reflected its pure and mystical charm. The patriotic dances performed by our students truly captured the essence of India’s spirit and unity.
A special tribute was paid to the framers of our Constitution, including Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, whose tireless efforts ensured that India stands as a sovereign, democratic republic. Primary students Juveriya and Hamna from St. IV eloquently highlighted the ideals of Justice, Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity that define the nature of our state, emphasizing the importance of India’s status as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic.
