On July 26th, the Primary section of St. Anthony’s High School held a special celebration in honor of the feast day of Saint Ann and Saint Joachim, the grandparents of Jesus. This memorable day was dedicated to welcoming the grandparents of our students for a heartfelt and joyful event.
The festivities began with melodious music, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Our students presented their grandparents with hand-made cards, which were deeply touching and brought a tear to many eyes. A small prayer service led by the students, special welcome songs, and a series of poems, dance and the skit added to the day’s charm. We were also honored to host two Sisters from the Philippines as our special guests. They were warmly felicitated with bouquets and gifts by our Principal, Sr. Suman.
Our Manager, Sr. Elizabeth Mathai, and Principal, Sr. Suman Minezes, addressed the grandparents, who were delighted to see their grandchildren perform. The day included engaging games with spot prizes, further enhancing the fun and excitement. The event concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks from several grandparents, who expressed their appreciation for the dedicated program. Snacks were provided for everyone, and the hard work of our primary teachers ensured the day’s success.
Overall, it was a truly special day that celebrated the bond between our students and their grandparents, creating lasting memories for all involved.
