The Christmas celebration in the school was made even more special by the addition of Children’s Day festivities. Since the students were busy preparing for the school’s Centenary Celebration, which was held on November 15th, 2022, and the school’s principal, Sr. Suman Minezes, wanted the students to feel special on their special day, the celebration of Children’s Day was combined with the Christmas celebration.
The day was filled with joyous activities, starting with a beautiful prayer service that set the tone for the rest of the day. The primary students performed a skit that highlighted the true meaning of Christmas, while the secondary students participated in a variety of events, including a Christmas tree-making competition, snowman competition, and carol singing. They showcased their creativity and musical talents, filling the atmosphere with festive cheer. Miss Rupali and Sir Sydney narrated the story of Christmas, reminding everyone of its true meaning.
The parents too performed a wonderful dance performance for the children, and the principal delivered a touching message on Christmas, reminding everyone of the importance of spreading joy, peace, and love during the holiday season.
Adding to the festivities, Sr. Dharsi, Sr. Kavita, and the principal herself, Sr. Suman Minezes, gave a stunning dance performance that took the children by surprise.
In keeping with the holiday spirit of giving, the school also invited underprivileged children and people from the local community to participate in the celebration. Gift hampers, contributed by the students, were given to those in attendance.
The Christmas celebration, combined with Children’s Day, which was also witnessed by our P.T.A. members was a memorable and heartwarming event that brought the school community together and reinforced the values of kindness and generosity.
