St. Anthony’s High School organizes picnics, on a yearly basis for students of each section. These are fun trips for interaction, entertainment, togetherness, bonding and understanding. The students get to know one another and teachers get to know their students in the out-of-class context. These are morning-to-evening trips which involve formal parental consent. Picnics are meticulously planned each year and contribute towards the personality development of students.
The most awaited day of the year was the school picnic to Pinewood Resort, Karjat, Maharashtra. The school picnic was for the students of V to X. Pinewood Resort gave an experience of being surrounded by greenery and the beauty of nature. We started at 8.30 am in the morning with prayer and a feeling of a great day ahead. The students were extremely excited and kept singing songs in the bus till they reached the venue.
We were welcomed by the staff of the resort, and students were amazed to see the adventure resort. A delicious breakfast was followed by a tour of the resort where the excited students shook their legs to the thumping dance numbers which were played near the pool. They even created a few crazy steps and the teachers too joined in the fun.
The next place visited was the green lawn where the students played a few games. Every child was given an opportunity to participate.
The most enjoyable time was in the play area with swings, slides, merry-go-round. After a tiring and fun-packed morning, we all headed for lunch where we all relished different items of food followed by ice cream. The group photograph time motivated students to make funny faces for the click!
All the students expressed a desire to revisit the place again. Indeed, it was a great day for all the students and teachers, as it strengthened the bond between the students and their teachers. It was a sound and safe return. Cheers!
