Alina Shaikh’s nimble, fast fingers have taken her places. This time in Charni Road, where she won the Ideal Play Abacus India Pvt. Ltd. in the Level III of Elementary competition in abacus.
A release from her abacus training institute, Ideal Play Abacus India Pvt. Ltd., says that she won the prize, where around 3000 students participated in various levels.
Her task was to complete 100 addition and subtraction problems in five minutes. The student who gets the maximum correct answers at the shortest possible time is declared the winner, says Alina’s Sister Ms. Amreen Shaikh who has supported her in the run up to the competition.
In fact, it was she who enrolled her in an abacus institute in their neighbourhood in Agripada. “I encouraged her to join an abacus coaching class after finding her do math with interest,” she recalls. This was a year ago.
Ms. Allina Shaikh has been congratulated by the Principal and the staff for her brilliant performance.
