Gandhi Jayanti

St. Anthony’s celebrates different festivals with a fervour. Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated by the entire nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of the father of our nation – Mahatama Gandhi. St. Anthony’s School celebrated Bapu’s birthday with great zeal and patriotism. The assembly began with a special tribute to Gandhiji. The children shared anecdotes from Gandhiji’s life. A song was performed on this occasion. The Principal also quizzed the students on various contributions made by Bapu to India’s freedom struggle. The assembly wound up with a medley of Bapu’s favourite songs such as Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram.

The primary school organised a rally for ‘Communal Harmony’ to mark Gandhi Jayanti in the locality. Thus the students of S.A.H.S were given a deep insight into the life and times of Mahatama Gandhi, and were encouraged to think about the sacrifice of our freedom fighters, analyze the importance and understand the value of freedom, through the day’s activities.
