A good teacher is more influential in shaping the life of an individual than his/her parents. In our culture, a teacher is given a place above everyone else. Teachers’ Day is celebrated every year on 5th of September to honour and acknowledge the contribution made by countless number of teachers in helping and moulding the careers of millions of students, and in turn shaping the destiny of India. This day is celebrated as Teachers’ Day in respect and deference to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was born on 5th September 1888. Dr. Radhakrishnan was a great scholar, philosopher, and teacher of modern India. Keeping this in mind, the students of St. Anthony’s High School, Mumbai, organized a grand Teachers’ Day celebration for their teachers. The students dedicated beautiful cultural performances to their teachers and this gesture was highly appreciated by one and all. The management of the school was kind enough to appreciate the hard work of the teachers. The day was made special for the teachers by all the students and the management for their sincere dedication and efforts.
